The Secret to Finding Keywords That Pull in Real Estate Agent Leads to Your Blog
    by Kathy Goughenour

One of the first tasks that must be done to get real estate agent leads to go to your blog is search engine optimization. The reason for optimizing your blog is to get it ranked higher on search engines. If you do this right, ideally, one or more of your blog posts will be ranked on page one of Google, Yahoo and MSN. (It'll be so exciting when that happens!)

Some people may tell you that you don't need to worry about optimizing your blog. Or, that it's too hard. Or, too time consuming. Or, too expensive. Do not listen to them. This is how the web works on its simplest level, and if you want to make money on the internet, you cannot pretend it is otherwise.

There are many ways to optimize your blog to get more visitors. But, one of the biggest factor that determines the volume of traffic your blog receives through search engines is keyword optimization.

Keyword optimization is adding finely tuned keywords or keyword phrases to your blog so that as many real estate agent leads as possible find your blog.

What is a Keyword or Keyword Phrase?

When people use a search engine, such as Google, to find information, they type in the words they think will generate the data they're looking for. For example, they might type in "condos in Gulf Shores." The wording "condos in Gulf Shores" is the keyword phrase they chose to use. (FYI, the terms keywords and keyword phrases mean the same thing. You will find those terms used interchangeably here and by most experts.)

But, how do you know which keywords (and keyword phrases) will bring the most real estate leads to your blog? You cannot guess. You must do keyword analysis, which is also called keyword research.

    The Importance of Keyword Analysis

The reason for conducting keyword analysis and research is to determine which keywords are most used by the people you want to find your blog.

You may think you can guess which keywords people searching for real estate information use. But you can't! I've been writing keyword optimized web content for real estate agents for over 6 years, and after all this time, it's still impossible for me to guess which keywords are the best to use.

Here is an example of how hard it is to guess. If you're a real estate agent in Naples, Florida, you might think that "naples florida real estate" is the best keyword for you to use. But, what about "naples FL real estate?" Or, just "naples real estate?" There are as many different kinds of keywords people search on as there are different kinds of people. So, there's no way to guess. That's why you must do keyword research.

    How to Do Keyword Analysis

I highly recommend that you not try to do your own keyword analysis because:

    • It's complicated to understand.

    • It's time consuming, unless you have the appropriate software.

    • Even if you spend the money to buy the software, you have to take the time to learn to use it.

So, here's the secret to finding keywords that drive real estate agent leads to your blog: Pay an expert to perform your keyword analysis.

Compared to the hours and hours you'll spend performing this task, you can pay $125 and have it done for you in about one day. To find out whom I highly recommend hiring to perform your keyword analysis click here: Sizzling Keyword Research
